Book of the Month: Being Young by Astrid Young

Being Young: Scott, Neil and Me by Astrid Young

For September’s free Book of the Month, we’ve teamed up with Insomniac Press to share a title that tells two interwoven stories. It offers an honest and intimate portrait of legendary musician Neil Young, as seen by his half-sister Astrid Young. This fresh, personal perspective is seen in the broader fabric of Astrid’s life, exploring the tensions and joys within their famous family along with an insider’s look at the music scene through Astrid’s own career.

This PDF eBook includes a new chapter from the updated print edition plus a bonus, WOWIO-exclusive video interview with Astrid Young (you’ll need recent versions of Adobe Reader and QuickTime to view the video within the eBook).

Wow! Thanks for making this available! I first encountered the “Young” family when I was given a young adult novel of Scott Young to read in the 1960s. To me, he was the guy who wrote books for teens, and sometimes wrote about sports (!!). And then there was Neil and the many facets of his career as he grew on the world stage. And now, Astrid, and your view of the family and your own interwoven story. I look forward to reading this. Thanks again!
