Fiction is Stranger than Fiction

It’s comic Wednesday and we have another out-of-this-world read from the Spacedog Entertainment library! “Fiction Clemens” takes place in the Wild Wild West, but not one you and I know. Instead, this extraordinary tale of a high noon saloon shootout is set in the surreal recesses of a psychedelic mind, where the stunning artwork is reason enough to check this one out.

Fiction Clemens, the main character, is a slow-going slacker who isn’t the least bit interested in doing much beyond loafing around town.  Much to his dismay, his low-key lifestyle is in for a big change when he encounters the evil Tiberius Kitchens.  Tiberius thinks Fiction is after his woman (no thanks to the woman) and he wants to kill him, but before he can give our sleepy-eyed hero a permanent nap, along comes Dune Trixie, the saloon drunk, who accidentally whacks a bottle onto Tiberius’s head and knocks him out cold. And this is where the strange becomes stranger, as Trixie and Clemens are taken to the desert and dumped there by the locals in town–for their own safety. They wake up, only to go on a mind-bending trip to another bizarro world with even more unusual characters.

“Fiction Clemens” is a wild rollercoaster of a ride into some psychedelic and eye-popping landscapes. Where this ride ends is pretty crazy, but we’re not going to spoil this trip for you. Pick it up yourself, and be prepared to turn on, tune in, and drop out.

Fighting Foes and Doing It with Style

Animal prints are going to be huge this fall according to designer Marc Jacobs, but we all know who was hot on this trend first… Sheena, Queen of the Jungle, of course! She was sportin’ cheetah and leopard prints long before a pair of Manolo’s ever hit the runways at New York Fashion Week! This fashion-forward heroine is not only a trendsetter, but she is also fierce when it comes to fighting with knives, spears and bows (not the kind you wear on pretty dresses or in your hair). However, her true skill set involves being able to communicate with wild animals and launching surprise attacks on her opponents. Wow! With moves like that, perhaps she should make a run for the Senate – we bet she’d make great in-roads there! Can’t get enough of this avant garde fashionista? Feel the need to style-stalk her? Then check her out in “Sheena, Queen of the Jungle 01”, where she is singlehandedly saving the day, all while wearing a stylish one-piece cheetah print swimsuit!
